I forgot to mention in my last post that I was able to wear a pair of pants that I haven't been able to get into for almost a year now. That was exciting. I think this is making Pasquale want to start the same workout/eating program as I am on. That would be so cool, getting to do it with someone.

After measuring yesterday, I couldn't wait to get to the gym and bust out a great workout. It was only cardio yesterday, so a short workout, but I pushed it pretty hard. I'm starting to feel sore in my abs from Monday's lower-body workout. That's good. I never push my ab workout as hard as I can because it's difficult. My stomach muscles disintegrated with having babies. I'm determined to have a flat stomach again.

Eating was a little more difficult yesterday, though. I started the day off with a protein bar on the way to dropping Sophia at school. Then, when I got home a little later, I made scrambled eggs, turkey bacon and orange juice for Pasquale and myself. After that, we were running errands like shopping at Costco and going to the bank, so I grabbed a bag of beef jerky and a single-serving size bottle of Simply Apple apple juice. That helped me not be hungry while grocery shopping and noshing on all the handouts. After that, we had to rush to pick up Sophia and hit the gym. On the way out, we all got turkey sandwiches on wheat with a small bowl of fruit on the side. It was a good dinner and easy as well. Then the snacking began. I had a sweet tooth, so I ate a huge, juicy peach and a string cheese. That was okay. But then I grabbed a small handful of Pasquale's chocolate-covered raisins. They weren't as good as I thought they'd be. Then, in a moment of weakness, I ate the last 2 slices of cold, Papa John's pizza we had on Sunday for my free day. I'm not proud. At least it was a veggie pizza. There's that.

But all in all, I think it was okay- even if it didn't end on as high a note as it could have and I didn't eat as many meals as I should have. But today is a new day!
