This morning marks the first day of my 84-day challenge. Well, technically, it's the second day. But I used yesterday as my free day and planning day. I'm really excited and a little bit scared. I'm not sure how this time is going to work out, but I know I want to at least stick with it for 84 days. That doesn't even sound like that long and I think I can do it.
Here is my meal plan for today. (I've already varied it for this morning since I didn't go grocery shopping yesterday.)
Meal #1: Fat-Free Cottage Cheese with Lowfat Yogurt, almonds and a glass of water
Meal #2: Low Fat string cheese, a small apple and a glass of water
Meal #3: Tuna Wrap and a glass of water
Meal #4: Protein shake and a glass of water
Meal #5: Salmon, grilled asparagus, brown rice and a glass of water
Meal #6: Cantaloupe cottage cup and a glass of water
If you can't tell, water is key in this "diet". I've replaced Meal #1 with a protein shake since I didn't have the cottage cheese. I'll go shopping this morning for the next couple of days. I'm going to take it 6 days at a time and see where that gets me.
For the exercising portion, today is cardio. It's only a 20 minute plan and goes like this.
Minute - Intensity Level
1-5 11-6
2-5 12-7
3-6 13-8
4-7 14-9
5-8 15-6
6-9 16-7
7-6 17-8
8-7 18-9
9-8 19-10
10-9 20-5
The goal is to real a real 10 in intensity. I'm going to have to work on trial and error to find out what my 5 is and my 10 is. But I've got 84 days to figure that out. To make it a little easier today, I'm going to do my cardio on the treadmill. I'll switch it up in the future, but today I'll use the numbers on the machine to tell me about the intensity levels.
And that's it. That's all the workout I need to do today. I'll stick to my meal plan which is really simple. And I'll go to the gym, (which Sophia has been goading me to do anyway) and do my cardio. I'll throw in a little steam room too for my skin.
Oh, yeah. My weigh in this morning was 233.2. That's actually not that bad considering what I've been eating lately. (or not eating). I'm not going to put so much stock into my weight in the coming few weeks as I am in the way my clothes fit me. I don't expect miracles, but I do expect change.
Here's to day 1!
Go day one! It sounds like your food plans are gonna make a huge difference.
