So I am 25% of the way through this challenge and I need to check my diet again. Over the last couple of days, I haven't been sticking to a menu, the plan or even healthy food. Things come up, I don't have time to make a meal, I forget to eat, or we go out to Chuck E.Cheese to spend some time as a family before Pasquale goes out of town again. There's just been a slew of excuses for me not to watch my eating more closely. Truth is, there will always be reasons to stray. I just have to be stronger than I have been over the last 3 days and stick to the plan. I know this plan works. I feel it's effects already and am anxious to start seeing more results. I will see this through to the end. It's the middle I'm having a little hard time with. (and my middle too, now that you mention it.)
Since today is Monday, beginning of another week, I am going to recommit myself for another 6 days. That's really all it is. taking this thing 6 days at a time. Then I can let loose if I want to. 6 days of feeding my body correctly and working out correctly. I can do that. And if I don't think I can, I'll just take it one day at a time and start over each day.
So today will be shopping day. I need to frugally plan a menu which I feel confident I can stick to. (that's been the problem all along. I'll set these lofty cooking goals, but when push comes to shove, I don't have time to make 5-6 cooked, gourmet meals each day.) I need to make sure I plan lots of "grab bag" snacks that I can do since I always seem to be driving somewhere or getting ready to go somewhere when it's time to eat.
My weight started going on the rise and peaked at 228 lbs, or thereabouts. This morning finally saw the first drop in 3 days at 227 even. I was getting a little nervous there, but that's what prompted this reevaluation of my goals and checking my diet plan. I couldn't go to the gym this morning at 8:00, which is when I had made Dominic's Infant Room appointment, because he was up all night with a stuffy and runny nose. So he couldn't breathe well, which made it almost impossible for him to sleep. I also don't want to take a baby with a runny nose to the gym. I don't know if he's getting sick or just reacting to all the crap I've been ingesting. But I'm not taking any chances. So I have to make sure I do my own little workout here at the house. I have On Demand on TV and it has a whole bunch of workout videos I can pick from to do my cardio (since I don't have any weights here).
We'll see how he's doing tomorrow.
Aw, poor baby. His diet is just as up and down as yours, haha. Well, on to a new week!
